This location, within easy reach of airports and close to major road and rail links, means the company is ideally situated to undertake regeneration projects across the UK and Europe.
The company's founder and managing director is Imelda Havers who has more than 25 years of commercial and public sector experience. Known to many professional circles and member organisations, she is a:
- Certified Management Consultant (CMC)
- Member of the Institute of Management Consultancy
- Member of The Institute of Directors
- Member of the British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA) and BURA Seaside Network
Over the years she has worked with government agencies and SMEs in developing their marketing and communications strategies, and has been instrumental in helping organisations achieve their regeneration objectives.
In 2000 Imelda was appointed Project Manager for St John's Urban Village in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. This major mixed-use regeneration project, supported by The Prince's Foundation, Advantage West Midlands and Wolverhampton City Council, attracted national recognition as an example of high quality regeneration.
Following this she became Chief Executive of york-england.com, the York and North Yorkshire Inward Investment Board leading the expansion of the organisation into a sub-regional agency and successfully attracting significant investment and high quality jobs to the region. Significantly, this resulted in the first Government Department relocation to Yorkshire and Humber as part of the Lyons Review when DEFRA relocated several of its London-based divisions to York.
Launching her own company, BlueFish Regeneration Limited, was the next logical step for Imelda. Her team shares her commitment and drive to help forward-thinking communities face the challenges of the future through sustainable economic and environmental renewal.
BlueFish Regeneration was founded through its passion for community-led regeneration, and has the vision and experience to add value to any regeneration project.
